Youth Empowerment Program launched in 6 Indian states with CSR support

RHI Magnesita India, the leading manufacturer and supplier of high-grade refractory products, systems, and solutions, has collaborated with Don Bosco Tech Society to introduce a “Youth Empowerment Program” for the skill development of vulnerable youngsters in six Indian states. 

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, the corporation is taking an important step toward closing the growing skill gap and giving work chances to youth who are “Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET).” The first skill training batch under this initiative just began at the Don Bosco Tech Najafgarh center in New Delhi. 

The collaboration aims to benefit women between the ages of 18 and 35 by providing them with the skills they need to succeed in today’s competitive job market. RHI Magnesita and Don Bosco Tech Society will train over 700 students throughout six Indian states, including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Delhi, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh, as part of this collaboration.

The key highlights the programmes under this collaboration are: 

Targeted Skill Training: Each batch receives a thorough three-month skill training curriculum that is meticulously developed to deliver a well-rounded learning experience that includes classroom sessions, hands-on practical work, illuminating guest lectures, and industry visits. Participants can anticipate gaining useful, job-ready skills. 

Women’s Integration: This program’s consistent dedication to advancing gender equality in the workplace is a crucial pillar of RHI Magnesita’s efforts to promote diversity and inclusion. This will be accomplished through exceptional efforts. 

Don Bosco Tech Society has a long history of skill development projects, while RHI Magnesita India brings industry knowledge. This collaboration is the result of both organizations’ shared commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young people. This collaboration aims to give India’s kids a better future by providing them with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in today’s world.

RHI Magnesita India declared earlier this year that it had utilized 100% of its CSR cash for FY 2022-23 through the implementation of projects targeted at bringing good improvements to the communities with which it works. The company has revealed that its CSR expenditure for FY 23-24 will be INR 5.6 crore, a 14% increase over the previous year.
