Abhijit Bose, the head of WhatsApp India, left his position on Tuesday and left Meta, the parent company. Rajiv Aggarwal, director of public policy at Meta India, has also left his role, the business announced in a statement.

A Meta spokesperson confirmed that Shivnath Thukral has been appointed by the organization as its new director for public policy in India.

Thukral has been serving as WhatsApp India’s Public Policy Director since 2020, according to his LinkedIn page. He graduated from the Delhi School of Economics and SIU, Carbondale. After a successful stint as a business journalist for an India TV station, he previously worked for Essar Group.
