Tullow Oil in talks with ONGC Videsh, IOCL
Tullow Oil executives met with ONGC Videsh Ltd. of India this week in Nairobi as the London-based company looks for a strategic investor for its onshore oil project in Kenya, the company announced on Saturday.
Earlier this week, a senior official from the Kenyan Ministry of Petroleum and Mines tweeted that the ministry’s representatives had met the Indian High Commissioner to Kenya, as well as those from ONGC Videsh, the company’s overseas investment arm, and Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

The sides concurred to undertake additional talks in the upcoming weeks after a successful meeting, according to an article centred on Africa. Tullow tweeted about the meeting and added that the Ministry of Petroleum and Mines had hosted the discussions.
Africa-focused Tullow Oil stated earlier in July that it was optimistic that it would make significant progress in the second half of the year in finding an investor for its onshore oil project in the nation of East Africa.
