Top 10 passwords in India – Despite the prevalence of phishing and cyberattacks, Indian consumers continue to use the passwords that are the easiest to crack. According to a survey by the password management business NordPass, “Bigbasket” and “googledummy” are among the most popular passwords in India.
However, these are not the only passwords that Indians use frequently. The terms “password,” “abcd1234,” “123456,” “iphone5s,” “allensolly,” and I love you” are also frequently used as passwords. The study also found that while choosing passwords, people frequently consider their favorite sports teams, foods, swear words, video games, and artists.

Independent experts who specialize in cybersecurity events have developed a list of the most used passwords. The data from more than 30 countries was divided up by the researchers into different verticals.
The most popular passwords in the UK were “liverpool,” “qwerty,” “guest,” “arsenal,” “chelsea,” “liverpool1,” “password1,” “football,” “cheese,” “thomas,” and “london.” The most popular passwords in Japan are now “123456,” “akubisa2020,” “sakura,” “diskunion,” “ilove12345@,” “doraemon,” and “daisuki.”
Our choice of passwords is also influenced by current events like the Oscars ceremony or getting scammed on Tinder. According to the data, “Oscars” was used 62,983 times more frequently as a password than “Tinder,” which was used 36,384 times. Batman, Euphoria, and Encanto were among the most well-liked movies and television shows in 2021–2022; thus, these terms were entered 25,62,776 times, 53,993 times, and 10,808 times, respectively.
