Flipkart invites applications from startups for third cohort of Flipkart Leap Innovation Network

Flipkart, a Walmart-owned Indian e-commerce site, has announced the third batch of their startup accelerator program, Flipkart Leap Innovation Network. According to the statement, selected companies will be able to deploy their solutions to Flipkart’s consumer base and work directly with the e-commerce company’s product teams. 

“In the third edition, we are excited to welcome startups to participate in the next cohort as we strive to make significant advancements in the digital e-commerce realm,” said Naren Ravula, Vice President and Head of Product Strategy and Flipkart Labs. Our passion is for developing innovative business models and nurturing the next generation of tech talent to address real-world difficulties in India.” 

The program is available to entrepreneurs from all over the world, not only from India, and focuses on e-commerce technology areas such as user and seller experiences, inventory and supply chain, payments and credit.

The e-commerce business also stated that selected entrepreneurs would be given the opportunity to deploy their solutions, interact closely with Flipkart’s product teams, and run pilots with multiple partners.  

Ravula also praised the startups featured in the first two batches of Flipkart’s accelerator. 

“We launched the Flipkart Leap Innovation Network to give startups a chance to bring their business ideas to life and to strengthen our culture of innovation.” “The program drew tremendous interest from startups in the first two cohorts, demonstrating enormous interest, innovative ideas, and a strong entrepreneurial drive,” he explained. 

According to the Flipkart website, four startups were chosen for the initial batch. Ashield, ElixiaTech, Intellewings, and TryndBuy were among them. These companies’ solutions have been integrated into Flipkart’s ecosystem.
