THDCIL Planting Seeds of Patriotism with ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ Campaign

Sh. R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, THDC India Limited, informed that, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, THDC India Limited (THDCIL) successfully organized the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign with the planting of 75 saplings of indigenous species near Bhagirathi Bhawan, at the Corporate Headquarters Rishikesh, as part of the creation of the “Amrit Vatika.”  

According to Sh. Vishnoi, this special campaign serves as a touching monument to India’s historical journey toward freedom and growth, all while remembering the ‘Veers’ who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.  

He further emphasized how this program is completely consistent with THDCIL’s strong commitment to corporate social responsibility and its unyielding drive to positively influence society and the environment. The campaign’s ultimate goal is to establish a profound feeling of national pride and to encourage future generations to protect India’s treasured legacy in THDC’s path of supplying sustainable, affordable power to everybody 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Sh. J. Behera, Director (Finance), and Sh. Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel), together with other senior officials from THDC India Limited, commemorated the anniversary by planting saplings that represent growth, resilience, and remembrance.  

During his message to the personnel present, Sh. J. Behera stressed that the nationwide “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign was established to honor the brave souls who laid down their lives for the country. It envisions a unified celebration of the soil and valor of India.  

The attendance of Sh. Atul Jain, Executive Director (Technical), Sh. A. B. Goel, Executive Director (Finance), and other top officials from THDCIL was enthusiastically welcomed, highlighting the organization’s unwavering dedication to environmental sustainability.
