PLI Scheme – Telecom businesses’ investment under the production-linked incentive plan has reached Rs 2,419 crore, resulting in the hiring of 17,753 persons, said Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday.In October 2022, the government picked 42 enterprises that pledged a total investment of Rs 4,115 crore, are expected to create additional sales of Rs 2.45 lakh crore, and employ over 44,000 people throughout the six-year scheme duration ending in 2025-26. He was addressing during the virtual opening of a production line by domestic firm VVDN to manufacture 4G and 5G connectivity modules and data cards for US-based Telit Cinterion.
