NTPC Bongaigaon bring laurels

The Chemistry Department “Aqua Power” Quality Circle team from NTPC Bongaigaon took home the runner-up prize in the regional Quality Circle convention held at NTPC Darlipali, Odisha. The group will participate in the National Level QC Convention in February 2023 at NTPC Bongaigaon.

When the team members received the award, Shri Karunakar Das, CGM, NTPC Bongaigaon, complimented them on their success and inspired them for the nationals.

The team included Ms. Subhadra Basumutary, Shri Jugal Medhi, Shri Hasem Ali, and Ms. Anamika Dutta in addition to Shri Debmalya Dhar (facilitator) and Shri Apurbajyoti Das (leader).

The idea of Quality Circles (QC) has been extended by NTPC beyond project plants and organisational structures. More than 30 quality circles are actively working in various villages close to its stations to identify various community concerns and provide workable solutions, in line with NTPC’s firm view that information empowers the society.

QC members are encouraged to compete in state and national level QC competitions by receiving instruction in QC Techniques, communication skills, and stage oration.
