Tata Steel Meramandali – Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

– From July 4 to July 10, 2022, Tata Steel Meramandali (TSM) celebrated the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at its Narendrapur factory in the Dhenkanal region. In order to engage with the local community and students from nearby schools, TSM organised a tree-planting drive and awareness event to mark the 75th anniversary of India’s independence. 
 
UP School, Khaliberena, SSS High School, UP School, Kurunti, and Nodal High School, Kusupanga were among the participating institutions. More than 350 children took part in the event and planted saplings on the grounds of their respective schools. The Corporate Social Responsibility division and Environment Department of TSM organised the programme. 
 
Over 100 employees and their families participated in a walkathon that the TSM Sports Committee organised for inhabitants of the company’s housing colony.
