Tata Power DDL plans to organize ‘Lok Adalat’

New Delhi – In collaboration with the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power DDL), a prominent power provider that provides electricity to 7 million people in North and Northwest Delhi, will host a “Special Lok Adalat” for the amicable resolution and immediate settlement of Direct Thefts and Disconnection Cases. On Sunday, August 21, 2022, from 10 AM to 4 PM, the session would be place at the TPDDL EAC Office, Sector-3, Rohini, New Delhi, fully adhering to the Covid-19 safety criteria.
The Lok Adalat will take up cases that are either already ongoing in a court of law or that have yet to be filed in a court of law. Those who wish to resolve their cases of electricity theft may appear in person or through their authorized agents who are holding letters of authorization.
Prior to the Lok Adalat, all plaintiffs may register by dialling 19124 or sending an email to eac.care@tatapower-ddl.com. Tata Power-DDL is constantly educating customers via a variety of media to ensure the Lok Adalat’s success.
Customers who are eager to resolve their instances of power theft can take advantage of this chance to settle their cases amicably and immediately. Under the applicable section of the Electricity Act, 2003, the company will be required to file a criminal complaint against these customers in the event of a default. Customers have a number of options for paying their bills, including Demand Draft, Check, Credit Card, Debit Card, Online Modes, and Cash.
