Swiggy announced permanent work-from-anywhere policy
Work-from-anywhere policy – As part of its “Future of Work” ideology, the food delivery firm Swiggy has announced permanent work-from-anywhere alternatives for a number of professions. Teams from corporate, central business functions, and technology will work remotely and meet for a week at base locations once every three months, according to a statement released by the company on Friday.
However, a business release states that people with partner-facing duties must spend a few days each week working from base locations. The company added that Swiggy believes its team would be better able to accomplish these goals as a result of its permanent work-from-anywhere strategy.
This choice was made in response to “team demands and input from various managers and employees who vouched for the freedom and higher productivity working from home has afforded them in the last two years,” the company claims.
Swiggy – Work-from-anywhere policy
According to Girish Menon, head of HR at Swiggy, “Flexibility is at the heart of our Future of Work.” In keeping with their jobs, we tried to give staff as much independence as we could. We took the pulse of the workers, managers, and leaders while keeping our ears to the ground and analyzing regional and global talent trends.
Swiggy was one of the first businesses in the startup sector to provide employees with a flexible work schedule. Swiggy employees currently reside in 487 cities spread across 27 states and 4 union territories.
Swiggy is not the first company, though, to have implemented a remote work strategy. Since 2020, a number of companies have allowed its employees to work remotely, including Airbnb, Meesho, State Bank of India, and Paytm.
