Sunfeast India Run As One raised Rs 3.12 cr for those who lost livelihood – On the occasion of 74th Independence Day with the vision to unite the country Sunfeast India Run together, India’s largest virtual citizen-led movement kick-started in support of these who had lost their livelihoods thanks to the pandemic. The platform witnessed support and encouragement from Indians and Indophiles across the planet alongside iconic global icons who joined hands in solidarity to boost funds in support of the lost livelihoods thanks to the pandemic.

Sunfeast India Run together galvanized the united 28 states and eight union territories to hide 4 lakh km through the virtual running and workout initiative and raised Rs 3.12 crore through active participation in support of livelihoods.
With Social Impact, Wellness and Community at the guts of the initiative, the movement has set a replacement beginning encompassing the true essence of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ is championed by Sunfeast Biscuits, powered by GiveIndia and strengthened by Fit India; the movement has showcased the cohesive strength of community support by Radio One, Fever FM, Google, PhonePe, PUMA, FAST&UP, BW Business World, and Exchange4media also participated within the event.

Every registration directly contributed impacted an individual and his dependents/ family. The proceeds are going to be disbursed via GiveIndia on to 100 NGO’s performing at the walk within the rehabilitation of the economically impacted families across the country. The beneficiary communities include migrants, tribals and artisans, people with disabilities, rural women, elderly, farmers and farmworkers, LGBTQ community, and individuals hooked into sports steam with voices from sporting icons like Padma Shri Vijay Amritraj, Olympian Marathoner Nitendra Singh Rawat, Olympic Gold Medallist Abhinav Bindra, Padma Shri Indian Gymnast Dipa Karmakar, India Cricketers Amit Mishra, Shikha Pandey with silver screen stars Armaan Jain, Athiya Shetty, Kajal Agarwal, Puneeth Rajkumar, Tara Sutaria, Aadar Jain, Rahul Bose, and Milind Soman among others.

India Inc. too was at the forefront of this initiative right from the very beginning, with 30 global brands including – ITC Ltd, Make My Trip, Mphasis, Egon Zehnder, CISCO, Infosys, IDFC First Bank, EPL GLOBAL, JSW Group, Flipkart, Khaitan & Co, HUL, HSBC, PUMA, EuroSchool India, Cipla, IIRIS, Scripbox who believed during this initiative and put their might to the cause.

The running community added their shoulder to the wheel by dedicating their daily runs to form an impression for a bigger good in the county including Bracknell Runners, Soles Of Cochin, Coimbatore Runners, Super Sikh Runners, North Kolkata Runners, Jayanagar, Jaguars, RunXtreme-Delhi, Chennai Runners, Explo Runner, and Hyderabad Runners supported the movement.

A number of faculties like Ascend International School, CP Goenka School Oshiwara, and Euro School India came forward to participate in the event, said, “By participating, you’ve got brought back smiles on the faces of individuals in need and played an important role in helping the state get over this pandemic way in supporting livelihoods with Sunfeast India Run together, as this has been a satisfying association with the Sunfeast India Run together because it stood faithful the values and vision of the Fit India movement. This initiative addressed the challenges of the pandemic in the absolute best way by providing a platform wherein people could actively participate, work towards their fitness, and plan to the explanation for supporting the rehabilitation of these affected as It is indeed a humbling experience to witness the facility of a unified community, driven by the common goal to support those suffering from the pandemic as said Ali Harris Shere, Chief Operating Officer – Biscuits and Cakes, Foods Division, ITC Limited described as we are humbled by the generous which also includes many athletes and sports icons who are making India pride through their distinct achievements over the years. Over 100 of our trusted NGO partners across 80 cities participated and therefore the funds raised will impact 1.5 lakh lives.”
