Sony Music Entertainment join hands with Green Yatra to plant 10,000 saplings
In addition to making audiences sing along to their favourite songs with the best music, Sony Music Entertainment has been working to make the world a greener and healthier place. The label teamed up with Green Yatra to launch a plantation effort at Mira Bhayandar, where 10,000 saplings were planted. Mr. Rajat Kakar, Managing Director, Sony Music Entertainment India, MBMC Mayor Jyotsna Hasnale, and Municipal Commissioner Dilip Dhole officiated at the event’s inauguration and planting. The Green Yatra team then gave a special presentation on the Miyawaki Project’s implementation, a forest walk, and species information, which was the day’s highlight. Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation recently honoured Sony Music Entertainment for its support to Green MBMC during its Van Mahotsav event.
“At Sony Music Entertainment, we take our Corporate Social Responsibility responsibilities seriously and are committed to becoming a change agent for cultivating a greener planet,” stated Rajat Kakar, Managing Director, Sony Music Entertainment India. We believe that our efforts will result in significant change and inspire everyone to embrace sustainability as a lifestyle.”
