Singareni Collieries plans to produce 70 MT by 2023-24

Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), a government-owned coal mining corporation, plans to produce 70 MT by 2023-24, up from the current level of 67 MT mentioned by Union Coal and Mines Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi today in Rajya Sabha.

Regular liaison is carried out for the establishment of new projects and the operation of existing ones. SCCL has begun work on developing infrastructure for coal evacuation, such as CHPs, crushers, mobile crushers, and weigh-bins.

SCCL’s future targets and vision for 2023-24 are to reach 85.00 Metric Tons of production and dispatches, 600 Million Cubic Meters of overburden removal, Rs. 340 billion in gross sales, Rs. 25 billion in profit, and 2,500 Megawatts of power generation.

The Indian government has accelerated projects to facilitate seamless movement and accelerate coal mine operationalization.

Furthermore, Coal India Limited (CIL) has identified and initiated actions to fulfill all of the resources required, such as Environment Clearance / Forest Clearance, land acquisition, evacuation infrastructures such as mechanised loading through Coal Handling Plant (CHP) / SILO, Rail Projects, and so on, to enable projects to contribute to the company’s target of 1 BT production.
