Shri Ashok Kumar Sehgal, General Manager, has taken over as NTPC Talcher Kaniha’s Project Head. Shri N S Rao, ED, has been assigned to the NTPC Northern Region Headquarters in Lucknow as Regional Executive Director (RED).Shri Sehgal was previously the General Manager (Operations & Maintenance) at NTPC Kaniha.

Shri Sehgal, a mechanical engineer by profession, joined NTPC in 1989 as an Executive Trainee at NSPCL Durgapur and has since worked in various capacities at NTPC Dadri, OS Department at EOC Noida, NTPC Mouda, NTPC Vindhyanchal in commissioning Operations, Mechanical Maintenance, Maintenance Planning, Ash Dyke Management before joining NTPC Kaniha in August 2022 as General Manager (Maintenance).In November 2022, he was appointed General Manager (O & M).Shri Sehgal possesses a M Tech degree in Power Engineering from IIT Delhi, as well as a P G Diploma in Finance from IGNOU, and has extensive experience in power plant management and maintenance.
Shri Sehgal has received comprehensive training in Power Plant Management from prestigious institutes across the country, including the renowned Power Management Institute in Noida.
