The mission to develop the secondary steel sector is well underway: Minister of Steel
Secondary steel sector – New Delhi: The Ministry of Steel had a discussion with steel businesses from Odisha. Shri Ram Chandra Prasad Singh, the Union Minister of Steel, presided over the meeting, which was attended by executives from steel businesses in Odisha. Representatives from the industry expressed their concerns, which included a better environment for the business, particularly in finance, logistics, and the environment, as well as support for small-scale industries in the sector.
Secondary steel sector development
During the session, the Steel Minister praised the Odisha government and people for making significant progress in development. The Odisha government has correctly concentrated on skill development through institutions such as the World Skill Centre in Bhubaneshwar.
The Minister went on to say that steel consumption will continue to rise as a result of the government’s many programmes and plans, such as the Gatishakti Master Plan, in which the secondary steel sector will play a significant role. He stated that a mission to grow the secondary steel sector is in the works.
Officials from the ministry emphasised that the government has been working hard to address the steel industry’s problems, and they encouraged input and opinions on specific issues affecting the sector, particularly secondary steel businesses.
