SECL records high coal production in April
SECL began the new fiscal year by breaking records in coal production, OBR, and dispatch. The outcomes of the previous month’s work activities, April 2023, have been highly positive for SECL.
The firm produced 14.12 million tonnes of coal in April, the most in any April month since the company’s founding. When compared to the April month of the previous fiscal year 22-23, the company saw an increase of approximately 1.24 million tonne. In terms of overburden removal, a new record of 29.29 million cubic meters has been set in any April month. In April of last year, the business recorded OBR of 20.44 million cubic meters, representing a 43% rise in OBR for the month of April.

On the other hand, in the month of April, the business sent 14.50 million tonnes of coal, surpassing all prior years’ numbers. In addition, the company’s deliveries increased by 13% from April 22-23.
It should be mentioned that the business just completed its fiscal year 22-23 with a record coal output of 167 million tonnes, the largest coal production in the company’s history. For fiscal years 23-24, the corporation has set an annual output target of 200 million tonnes of coal.
