Schneider to help accelerate digitalisation of Indian businesses – Senior executive

Digitalisation of Indian businesses – Schneider Electric, a global energy solutions supplier, will boost up marketing of products that help a wider number of Indian firms digitalize as industrial automation gains traction following the pandemic, according to a senior company official.

“By accelerating and facilitating digitization, we are dedicated to constructing a sustainable and resilient future for India… Schneider Electric India is focusing on the i4i (India for India) and i4g (India for the Globe) initiatives, according to Barbara Frei, the company’s worldwide executive vice president for industrial automation.

F&B, water and wastewater management, power utilities, gas, mining & minerals, healthcare, energy, urban rail transit (metro rail) and airports, and chemicals & fertilizers are some of the primary segments that the company is now targeting for industrial automation.

“To ensure that digitization projects are completed on time and on budget, we engage with a dense network of local partners.” It is vital that we educate and train our partners, such as system integrators, on how to use our technology,” says the company.

Partners are being trained in order to integrate future-proof technologies with local experience in order to make digitalization more accessible.

“In this way, they will be able to assist and support Indian enterprises in successfully integrating internet of things (IoT) technologies and reaping the benefits of the associated entrepreneurial prospects,” she added.

Frei discussed how their technology has helped the Aavin Dairy, which is controlled by the Tamil Nadu state government, improve operational efficiency, as well as reliability and quality in milk processing.

Schneider Electric‘s EcoStruxure Process Expert assisted the dairy business in improving asset management and energy efficiency, increasing processing capacity from 0.2 to 0.3 million litres per day, with the capacity to achieve 0.5 million litres,” Frei explained.

With all data being monitored, visualized, and translated into actionable insights, the EcoStruxure Process Expert solution has enhanced operational efficiency.
