Reliance Brands partners with Balenciaga

Reliance Brands – The international luxury label Balenciaga and Reliance Brands Limited (RBL) have struck a strategic partnership agreement. Reliance Brands Limited will be Balenciaga’s only partner in India under this long-term franchise deal, and this will mark RBL’s second collaboration with Balenciaga’s parent company Kering. 
 
Few brands have genuinely embraced the chance for creative reinterpretation and reinvention quite like Balenciaga, according to Darshan Mehta, MD of Reliance Brands Limited. Their innovative and avant-garde designs, daring use of the brand, and resulting cult in the fashion business have already established a solid foundation throughout the world. The perfect time to launch the brand in the nation is now that the luxury market in India has developed and started to use fashion as a medium of expression.

Cristóbal Balenciaga, a Spanish-born designer, founded the original Balenciaga house in 1917 and opened it in Paris in 1937. 
 
Demna has maintained the vision of Balenciaga since his appointment as artistic director in 2015, according to an official statement. “Since his appointment as artistic director in 2015, Demna continues to uphold the vision of Balenciaga through boundary pushing collections,” it said. 
 
To introduce the renowned Italian Maison de Couture in India, Reliance Brands Limited and Maison Valentino signed a long-term distribution partnership last month. In July, Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Brands Limited established a long-term collaboration with American clothing retailer Gap Inc. to distribute the latter’s goods in Indian stores.
