Qualcomm India commits USD 1.5 mn to support India fight Covid19 – USD 1.5 million (about Rs 11.3 crore) towards the country’s efforts to tackle the spread of COVID-19 infection has been pledged by Qualcomm India on Tuesday as they put a helping hand in this crisis and described that the contributions are going to be made towards PM CARES Fund, and multiple relief and public healthcare infrastructure initiatives, a press release said.
With increasing cases the higher availability of COVID-19 test kits for healthcare workers with sanitization and private protective equipment along with preventive health screening, helping front-line police forces are the key aspects for the public healthcare infrastructure include enabling broader relief work and also supporting feeding the needy and at-risk in various regions across India, it added.
Currently, the need of the hour is for all folks to return together and stand as a united force in fighting this pandemic accumulative as a community, we’ll get to still work together to make solutions that address future challenges with insight and compassion,” Rajen Vagadia, vice chairman of Qualcomm India and President, Qualcomm India, and SAARC, said.
In addition, Qualcomm India employees, in their individual capacity, are active contributors towards various community outreach and relief efforts, including personal contributions.
Qualcomm India has also committed to match employees’ personal donations towards COVID-19 relief funds, with an identical contribution to the PM CARES Fund through its Charitable Match Program, the statement said. SR RVK
