SAIL contributed steel for Pune Metro Rail Project
Pune Metro Rail Project – Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a government-owned steel company, offers its best to the outstanding Pune Metro Rail Project.
One of India’s top steel producers has contributed 8800 tonnes of steel to the project, which will be launched by India’s Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, on March 6, 2022.
SAIL, one of India’s fastest-growing public sector enterprises, is the world’s 20th largest steel producer and India’s largest. The company’s Hot Metal manufacturing capacity will continue to grow, with a goal of reaching 50 million tonnes per year by 2025.
Pune Metro Rail Project gets steel from SAIL
There are two metro lines in Pune. PCMC to Swargate 11.4 KM (6KM underground and rest elevated) with 14 stations and Vanaz to Ramwadi 15.7 KM (all elevated & 16 stops).
-The PCMC to Phugewadi segment (7 kilometres, five stations) of the PCMC to Swargate corridor, as well as the Garware to Vanaz section (5 kilometres, five stations) of the PCMC to Swargate corridor.
-The project’s total cost exceeds Rs 11,400 crore.
– From March 6, the train will only serve commuters from 10 stations, and from March 7, 2022, trains will run every 30 minutes from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
