SAIL Announces Enhanced Performance Incentive for 2020 – A rise of quite 6% within the annual payment of SAIL Performance Incentive by Steel Authority of India Limited has been announced as an ex-gratia or bonus as compared to the previous year on the festive occasion of Durga Puja & Dussehra to the non-executive employees as it had been finalized supported discussions and mutual agreement between SAIL management and union leaders representing the workers about the distribution of ex-gratia during the festive season and belonging to the constituent unions of NJCS viz. INTUC, CITU, AITUC, HMS & BMS be paid to the non-executive employees of SAIL’s five integrated steel plants at While an amount of INR 16,500 are going to Bhilai, Bokaro, Durgapur, Burnpur and Rourkela and also Raw Materials and Collieries Divisions, to be paid to the non-executive employees an amount of INR 14,500 and are to other plants and units of SAIL.
The disbursement of incentives to Non-executive employees’ before the onset of festive season and can augment the purchasing capacity of the workers during the festive season. Further, it’ll also aid in the infusion of liquidity and boost the economic activity especially within the Steel Townships and facilitate in alleviating, to some extent, the adverse impact of COVID on the economy.
