Renuka Gera first woman at BHEL to take charge as director (IS&P) – Renuka Gera, 57, has taken charge as Director (Industrial Systems and Products) of the Public Sector Engineering and Manufacturing Enterprise, on her arrangement as Director on the Board of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) fundamentally, she is the primary lady representative of BHEL to arrive at the degree of the chief.
Before this, Gera was going BHEL’s Industry Sector business fragment as Executive Director. She is an Electronics and Communication designing alumni from Delhi College of Engineering as she started as an Engineer Trainee in the organization’s Transmission Business Group, in 1984.
She has more than 36 years of comprehensive and involved involvement with different verticals of the Industry Sector fragment, driving business improvement and broadening activities in Energy Storage Systems, Transmission Systems including High Voltage Direct Current Transmission (HVDC), Electric Mobility, Railway Electrification, Water Management Systems, Transportation, Defense, and Renewable Energy.
Gera has a no matter how you look at it involvement with a cross-segment of regions, having headed Marketing, Administration, Planning, Finance and Legal, Business Development, Engineering, Contract and Project Management, HR, other than serving in BHEL’s Bhopal fabricating unit for a very long time. During her vocation range, she has had broad inclusion in HVDC ventures in the nation and was Project Manager of one of the biggest HVDC Multi-Terminal tasks in India.
Ms. Gera has prior been supported by BHEL for an International Certification Program in Business Management directed under the aegis of the Department of Public Enterprises.
