SJVN, CMD NL Sharma conferred with PSU Award of 2021

Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN, has been awarded the PSU Award of 2021 Year by the internationally acclaimed Dalal Street Investment Journal (DSIJ). This award was given in honour of Sh. Sharma’s outstanding contribution to making SJVN the most efficient and profitable Mini Ratna Company in the year 2021. 
 
SJVN Limited, a Schedule A, Mini Ratna Public Sector Enterprise, is led by Sh. Nand Lal Sharma as Chairman and Managing Director. Sh. Sharma has re-engineered the organization’s existing business model, which began with a single project in a single state at its inception and has grown to include a portfolio of around 31500 MW and more than 50 projects in various stages of development. SJVN is on an exponential growth path of harnessing various sources of energy under the dynamic leadership of Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, with a Shared Vision of 5000 MW installed capacity by 2023, 25000 MW by 2030, and 50000 MW installed capacity by 2040.

PSU Award of 2021 Year

SJVN wants to invest Rs 75000 crores in the next five years and Rs 1.8 lakh crores in the following ten years under his visionary leadership, which would help to kick-start the country’s Prosperity Engine and enable job creation, infrastructure development, and general socio-economic growth. 
 
In 1988, SJVN began with a 1500 MW single hydro project. The organization now has operations in eight Indian states as well as the neighbouring nations of Nepal and Bhutan. SJVN presently has a diverse portfolio of hydroelectric, thermal, wind, and solar power projects, as well as power transmission and trading. SJVN Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of the corporation, was recently founded to explore renewable energy projects.
