PowerGrid recognized as one among Top 100 Best Companies

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, the only PSU in the Top 100, has been named by Great Place to Work as one of the Top 100 Best Companies to Work For in India for 2022. 
 
Additionally, it received three more honors for ranking among the best employers in the fields of energy, nation-builders, and PSUs. 
 
On its transmission network, Power Grid transports almost 50% of the total power produced in India. 90 percent of India’s interstate and interregional electric power transmission infrastructure is covered by Power Grid, which does business in the areas of transmission, consulting, telecommunications, and ULDC/RLDC. 
 
With a total transformation capacity of 422,430 MVA as of 31 January 2021 and availability of over 99 percent, its transmission network consists of over 168,140 circuit kilometres and 252 EHVAC and HVDC substations. The interregional capacity of Power Grid is 75,050 MW.
