PowerGrid to source half of its Electricity Consumption by 2025
Electricity Consumption by 2025 – Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, an Indian PSU, plans to get half of its electricity needs from non-fossil sources by the year 2025.
9,300 MT/Year less CO2 is emitted due to 118 installations of Roof Top Solar (RTS) Systems with a combined capacity of 7.6 MWp.
To improve the amount of electricity coming from renewable sources, more 7.5 MWP RTS systems are being developed.

Nagda, MP, now has 105MWp of solar production capacity installed. Initial operations started.
90% of India’s interstate and interregional electric power transmission systems are covered by Power Grid, which conducts business in the transmission, consulting, telecom, and ULDC/RLDC sectors.
Its transmission network has a total transformation capacity of 422,430 MVA as of January 31, 2021, and availability of over 99%. It consists of about 168,140 circuit kilometres and 252 EHVAC and HVDC substations.
