Porsche India sales up two folds in 2022

Porsche India, a luxury car manufacturer, reported on Monday that sales grew by a factor of more than two, reaching 378 units in the first half of 2022.

The business claimed sales of 173 units from January through June of last year. According to a statement from Porsche India, the introduction of the company’s all-electric Taycan and a high demand for SUVs contributed to the sale of 167 Cayenne and 125 Macans in the first half of the year, accounting for 77% of all sales.

According to the report, the Taycan came in second with 37 sales, followed by the 911 Coupé with 27 and the family-friendly limo Panamera with 19 sales.

Manolito Vujicic, brand director for Porsche India, claims that the figures demonstrate a sector recovery and a return to pre-pandemic levels of high-end sports vehicle demand.

The best-ever half-year sales performance for the first half of 2022 would be the ideal way to commemorate Porsche India’s ten years of servicing this region.

With the ongoing push toward electrification, Vujicic continued, “We are encouraged to see substantial demand for the Taycan from day one, making it our third best-selling product so far this year. Porsche India claims that between January and June of this year, the business delivered more vehicles than it did for the full years of 2018, 2019, and 2020. 2021 marked the company’s finest year, with sales of 474 units.
