OYO partners with Khelo India and others to support differently-abled talent across India

On Tuesday, global online hospitality company OYO announced a partnership with Khelo India Para Games and Divyang Kala Mela to provide specialized and accessible housing for differently abled players across India. This move is being done to promote inclusivity by concentrating on providing fair access to excellent housing for people with disabilities, which is a focal area for the firm in 2024.

This program by OYO strives to promote wheelchair-friendly infrastructure at its partner hotels, such as ramps, larger doorways, and personnel who are trained to recognize the needs of differently abled visitors.

OYO is providing lodging for roughly 150 differently abled craftsmen and entrepreneurs who are taking part in the ongoing Divya Kala Mela across India. Furthermore, the hospitality company recently joined with Khelo India Para Games 2023 in Delhi, providing lodging to over 1500 athletes in 45 hotels throughout the city.

OYO is also collaborating with organizations such as the Wheeling Happiness Foundation to reach a bigger number of differently-abled athletes. “As an advocate for inclusivity in sports, I stand firmly behind the critical need for accessible accommodations for athletes with disabilities,” stated Padma Shri Deepa Malik, Co-founder of Wheeling Happiness Foundation.
