NTPC ink MoU with Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd

On May 1, 2023, NTPC and Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. inked a supplemental joint venture agreement at Shram Shakti Bhawan in New Delhi in the presence of Shri R K Singh, the Hon’ble Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy.

The goal of this joint venture is to boost the country’s nuclear power capacity in order to fulfill the rising demand for power.

The Hon’ble Minister stated at the occasion that India has matured and that we need to add more green energy to our generation capacity to keep up with this demand.

The presence of MoP Secretary Shri Alok Kumar, DAE Secretary & AEC Chairman Shri K.N. Vyas, NTPC CMD Shri Gurdeep Singh, and NPCIL CMD Shri B.C. Pathak at the occasion underscored the significance of this joint venture for India’s energy future.
