The Tenkuthu Panchayat & neighbouring communities benefited from a Free Medical Camp that NLC India Ltd hosted at Tenkuthu Panchayat Union Middle School in Tamilnadu on January 22, 2023 as part of their CSR programme.

Social responsibility: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, NLC India Hospital annually holds free medical clinics in the villages and surrounding areas of Neyveli. On January 22, 2023, NLC India Limited conducted a Free Medical Camp at Tenkuthu Panchayat Union Middle School in accordance with standard procedure.

Shri. Jasper Rose I. S., Executive Director/SME, Conveyor, Mine-III & Land, inaugurated the camp at Tenkuthu Panchayat Union Middle School in the Cuddalore District of Tamil Nadu. Specialist physicians, medical personnel, nurses, and pharmacists from NLC India Limited’s departments of general medicine, paediatrics, gynaecology, ophthalmology, dentistry, ENT, dermatology, orthopaedics, and ayurveda took part in the medical camp and treated those in the surrounding areas.

Blood tests were performed, and therapies were administered in accordance with the results. Free medical supplies and equipment were distributed to the underprivileged public, including 2 hearing aids, 9 wheelchairs, 14 tripods, and 10 walkers. NLC India Limited has also supplied first aid kits and a cutting-edge water purifier called “Water Doctor” to the Tenkuthu Panchayat Union Middle School.

Participants: This camp served 936 people in total, comprising 283 men, 482 women, and 171 children. Participants in the camp included Mrs. Rani, HM of Panchayat Union Middle School, Shri. Vaidhyanathan, President of Thenkuthu, Shri. Kannusamy, Ward Counselor, and others. Dr. Vivekanandan, Chief General Manager of the Land Department, Shri. P. Sathiamoorthy, Chief General Manager of Human Resources and Hospital Administration.
