NLC India Limited observed International Day of Yoga
NLC India Limited, based in New Delhi, joined the nation in honouring the International Day of Yoga by participating in a large-scale Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) Yoga practise demonstration at Bharathi Stadium in Neyveli on June 21, 2022, at 6:45 AM. Yoga For Humanity is the theme of this year’s International Yoga Day.
Along with dignitaries, invited guests, and 500 students from Neyveli Schools, Shri Rakesh Kumar, CMD/NLC India Limited, led the festivities of Yoga Day by taking part in the CYP and practicing yoga poses that included flexibility exercises, basic asanas, pranayama, and easy meditation.
Participants in the programme included Isha Yoga, Arivu Thirukovil, Art of Living, Bramakumaris, and NLCIL Ayurveda Center members and representatives. At Neyveli, 500 kids from 12 different schools took part.

Speaking at the event held at the Bharathi Stadium, Shri Rakesh Kumar, CMD, revealed that 4000 students from NLCIL Schools had participated in a year-long yoga training programme run by the NLCIL Education department. During the course of a year, NLCIL ran a number of programmes, including two months of yoga instruction for women in their community, a programme for WIPS, yoga training for rural schools, a programme for teachers, and Nadha Yoga for Doctors.
Shri N.Sadish Babu, Executive Director (HR) welcomed the gathering while Shri R.Nagarajan, DGM/Education, Sports& Culture proposed the Vote of Thanks. Smt. K.Selvanayagi, Yoga teacher, NLCIL Yoga Centre, Block-10 conducted the Mass Yoga demonstration.
