NLC India Limited record for power generation and coal production in 21-22
Coal production in 21-22 – NLC India Limited (NLC), formerly known as Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited, announced its best-ever performance and accomplishments for the fiscal year 2021-22.
With a total power generation of 29.20 BU and a total power export of 25.89 BU, the company set a new record. In addition, 6.35 million tonnes of coal were produced. 2184 MU is the highest amount of renewable energy ever produced.
Lignite sales hit a new high of Rs 419 crore.
– 146 percent collection efficiency is the highest ever.
– A 30% increase in the production of lignite
Coal production in 21-22
Aside from that, NLCIL aims to reach a capacity of 20,000 megawatts by 2025. The lignite-based Neyveli New Thermal Power Plant (1000 MW), Bithnok TPS, and Barsingsar TPS Expansion are all in the works (each 250 MW). Furthermore, through its subsidiary business Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Limited, NLC is constructing a 3×660 MW coal-based thermal power plant in Ghatampur, Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) (NUPPL)
