Environment-friendly lifestyle

In order to involve people in reducing the negative consequences of climate change, Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the mission of “LiFE (Lifestyle for the Environment)” on the occasion of the UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP26).The goal of this effort is to modify the prevalent “use and dispose of” consumption behaviours by promoting a lifestyle that emphasises conscious and deliberate resource use. The purpose is to persuade people to make little, everyday changes that can slow down the effects of climate change.

The strength of social networks can be used as part of the LiFE mission to influence the climate. A global army of environmental activists known as “Pro-Planet People,” who are dedicated to adopting and promoting eco-friendly lifestyles, is another goal of the mission.
