MNRE with IREDA, SECI conducts Campaign 2.0 for Pending Matters
New Delhi: The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) successfully carried out the Swachhata Campaign and Special Campaign 2.0 for the resolution of outstanding issues from its two CPSUs, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) and Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI), and three autonomous institutes, National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE), and Sardar Swarn Singh National Institute of Bio Energy (SSS-NIBE).
The Secretary of the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy reviewed the Campaign’s progress with all of the Divisional Heads of the Ministry, the CMD/MD of PSUs, and the DGs of the Institutions and gave orders to resolve all outstanding issues on a priority basis. The Nodal Officer for SCDPM 2.0 in the Ministry also conducted a weekly review of swachhata in the Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan premises.

A lot of attention was paid to keeping the office premises clean, getting rid of old documents and records, and disposing of references from MPs, Parliamentary Assurance, IMC references (Cabinet proposals), State government references, public complaints, PMO references, record management, cleanliness, and office scrap disposal, as well as streamlining rules and processes and freeing up space. During SCDPM 2.0, a total of 6,462 files were examined. A total of 765 files out of 6,462 were weeded.
As part of SCDPM 2.0, the Doordarshan team also paid a visit to the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), Gurugram, an independent agency of the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy.
Through the disposal of scrap, the Sardar Swarn Singh National Institute of Bio Energy (SSS-NIBE), a separate entity under the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, has earned Rs. 1,72,100.
