The Mega Maharashtra CSR Summit in Mumbai

MUMBAI – The Maharashtra CSR Summit will be place on July 27, 2022, in Mumbai at the Yashwantrao Chavan Pratisthan Auditorium, Nariman Point, with the theme “Leveraging CSR to accomplish Sustainable Development Goals SDGs in Maharashtra.”

The event, which will also include the Maharashtra CSR Awards and Exhibition, will be Maharashtra’s largest gathering of CSR and developmental sector leaders.

The India CSR Network Summit intends to provide the Maharashtra state’s CSR agenda towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Summit provides a forum for political visionaries, business leaders, and development sector leaders to exchange ideas and visions for the state’s growth.

Visionary government figures, industry experts, and CSR thought leaders will discuss their perspectives on SGDs and CSR in Maharashtra, as well as their progress and best practises. Around 200 participants from civil society, business, and government will attend to demonstrate their dedication to the state’s inclusive growth.

On March 22, 2021, Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur informed the Lok Sabha that Maharashtra has received the greatest share of cash, about 12,700 crores out of around 72,000 crores in CSR grants.

The Summit will feature leaders from organizations that have shaped and contributed to the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR), as well as visionaries and essential partners in Maharashtra’s present development plan.

The forum’s overall goal is to establish a shared goal among Maharashtra’s CSR, government, and nonprofit groups in order to maximize the benefit to society and chances for corporate houses, build strong relationships with communities, and contribute to the state’s development.

States must play a key role in ensuring that their development agendas are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this context, active participation of states with high levels of enthusiasm and a solid action plan is critical. Maharashtra, which enjoys stable governance and strong political leadership, has a critical role to play in advancing the SDGs.
