Mankind Pharma acquires stake in Upakarma Ayurveda
Upakarma Ayurveda – Mankind Pharma, a pharmaceutical business, revealed on Monday that one of its subsidiaries has bought the majority of Upakarma Ayurveda Private Limited. Ayurvedic and herbal products are developed, produced, and sold under the Upakarma Ayurveda brand.
Rajeev Juneja, vice chairman and managing director of Mankind Pharma Limited, said that people find it challenging to focus on their health because of the demanding nature of today’s lifestyle. “Consumers are considering Ayurvedic medicines to meet their needs for long-term nourishment and gradual immune boosting. Mankind Pharma has partnered with Upakarma Ayurveda to better serve consumers’ evolving needs as we work to improve healthcare for all,” he continued.
With the acquisition, Upakarma Ayurveda hopes to expand its product line and market penetration by utilizing Mankind Pharma’s robust distribution network.

Mankind Pharma submitted preliminary documents for an initial public offering to market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India in September. The promoting and existing investors are offering to sell 4 crore equity shares as part of the company’s initial public offering.
