MakeMyTrip & Microsoft to reshape travel planning with Generative AI

MakeMyTrip – The new tech stack within the platform can speak with the customer and deliver tailored travel recommendations based on their preferences by utilizing Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service and Azure Cognitive Services. It may also create vacation packages depending on a variety of variables such as budget, occasion, activity choices, travel duration, and more. This advancement has made the internet travel ecosystem available to all demographics across the country. The function is now accessible in English and Hindi for fly and vacation clients, with intentions to expand to additional modes of transportation in the near future.

“We have pioneered offerings at the intersection of e-commerce, travel, and technology, and we are proud to introduce a feature that removes barriers such as language, literacy, inability to navigate complex app environments, physical impairments, and so on,” stated, Rajesh Magow Co-Founder & Group CEO, MakeMyTrip.

“The new update will elevate the user experience and make our platform more inclusive, accessible, and easy to navigate,” said Sanjay Mohan, MakeMyTrip’s global chief technology officer. The beta phase will provide us with learnings to fine-tune all use cases before releasing it out to consumers at scale. As a result, we’ll do a highly restricted roll-out of this product with a subset of our consumers.”

“MakeMyTrip is a pioneer in the travel industry, and we are honored to work together to define the next frontiers of AI-driven innovation,” said Sangeeta Bavi, executive director, Digital Natives, Microsoft India. Our relationship will help make travel more inclusive and accessible for Indian passengers, with trust and security at the forefront.”
