Mahindra Group Hands Over Oxygen Plant to Government

The Mahindra Group has announced the building of a 1000 LPM oxygen plant at the Government General Hospital in Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh, as part of its ongoing effort to improve the nation’s healthcare infrastructure. In the presence of Mr. V.S. Ram, Vice President, Mahindra Farm Division, Zaheerabad and other government dignitaries, Shri Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, Hon’ble Minister for Finance, Planning and Legislative Affairs, Government of Andhra Pradesh, officially opened the oxygen plant. 
 
The Andhra Pradesh government has received backing from the Mahindra Group in its battle against COVID-19. The Group has previously given ten oxygen concentrators, two ambulances, two oxygen plants, and two oxygen plants to the government hospitals in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Government General Hospitals in Vishakhapatnam and Tirupathi received 1000 LPM and 500 LPM oxygen plants, respectively, from the Tech Mahindra Foundation.

In addition to its enormous financial investment across India to combat the epidemic, the Mahindra Group has established 23 oxygen plants and donated 94 ambulances across 19 states. The Group has helped the government with relief operations, redesigned manufacturing lines and facilities to produce face shields, face masks, and aerosol boxes, and given ICU beds, emergency taxi services, quarantine centres, oxygen on demand, financial assistance, and dry food to the less fortunate.
