Mahindra and Mahindra vehicles cost may increase after its price hike

Mahindra and Mahindra vehicles – Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) announced a 2.5 percent price increase on its entire vehicle lineup on Thursday. According to the company, the hike will result in a price increase ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 63,000 on ex-showroom pricing across the range, depending on the model and variation. This price increase will take effect today, April 14, 2022, according to Mahindra & Mahindra.
The company stated in an official statement that the price rise is due to continued price increases in essential commodities such as steel, aluminium, palladium, and other metals.
The automaker also stated that it has taken the appropriate steps to partially offset the exceptional rise in commodity costs by passing on a small portion of the cost increase to customers.
Mahindra & Mahindra stated, “The firm is working with its sales and dealer network to communicate the revised rates to their clients effectively.”
M&M isn’t the only company struggling to keep up with increased input costs.

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), the country’s largest carmaker, announced earlier this month that it would raise the prices of its entire model range this month due to rising input costs.
Maruti Suzuki India reported that the cost of its vehicles has continued to rise over the past year as a result of rising input prices. “As a result, it has become necessary for the company to pass on some of the aforesaid increased costs to consumers in the form of a price increase,” the company stated in a regulatory filing.
MSI has already increased vehicle prices by about 8.8% from January 2021 to March 2022 because to rising input costs. Maruti has announced a price increase for April 2022, with the amount varying depending on the model. The amount of the proposed price increase has yet to be revealed by the corporation.
