JSP Barbil Organized Swachhata Abhiyan

In support of the Prime Minister’s vision for the Swachh Bharat Mission, JSP Barbil organized a “Swachhata Abhiyan” and a “Walkathon” on Gandhi Jayanti. The community from adjacent villages, the employees, and their relatives who are connected to local government leaders took an active part in the event.

In the presence of Shri Sarat Kishore Panda, Shri Khirod Jena, local police officers, village elders, and senior JSP Barbil executives, Unit Head, Shri Brij Badhadra flagged off the Walkathon at 8:00 AM on the morning of the event.

This “Swachhata Abhiyan” began in Bileipada Square and continued past the JSP Pellet Plant’s Material Gate. Everyone worked together to tidy a three-kilometer length of road that included the Bileipada Market area. Along with JSP employees, more than 500 residents of the local community participated in this cleanup campaign and walkathon to promote physical fitness for a “FIT Bharat and FIT Jindal.” Team HR & ES, under the direction of Shri Sarat Kishore Panda, organised the programme.

The Unit Head, Shri Badhadra, expressed his appreciation for the initiative by saying, “While our employees are enthusiastically participating in this Swachhata Abhiyan on the auspicious day of Gandhi Jayanti, the spontaneous participation of the local community with this noble initiative is a welcome move. The Walkathon was created to get people physically and psychologically active, and its goal is to spread awareness of the dangers of littering, some of which are extremely harmful to both the environment and human health and well-being.
