Jharkhand to host artworks exhibition to support underprivileged students

Artworks exhibition

Artworks exhibition – The Government of Jharkhand intends to hold an exhibition-cum-sale of their artworks in order to encourage talented school pupils from poor backgrounds. Children will not only be able to showcase their artistic abilities at the exhibition, but they will also be able to digitally advertise their product and make money from sales.

The ‘Child Artist Exhibition’ was conceived by Chief Minister Hemant Soren and is the state’s first of its kind. From the 3rd to the 5th of November, the show will be held at Audrey House in Ranchi.

The exhibition will include student paintings and crafts, as well as the sale of selected products. The goal is to promote the holistic development of government schoolchildren and to emphasize their individual talent, particularly among kids from underprivileged families.

The exhibition, however, is not limited to kids from public schools. Students from private schools, as well as those from public schools, are welcome to attend the show. Schools will be given a URL to contribute their students’ best paintings and crafts for inclusion in the exhibition. The council-selected artworks will be shown digitally.

School children must register for participation with their respective district nodal officer through their headmaster/principal. Their artworks will be chosen based on the recommendations of a committee. However, only government school students participating in the exhibition will be provided with transportation, food, and housing; private school students will be responsible for their own expenses.

The paintings and crafts on display will benefit not only the pupils, but also the teacher and the school. A portion of the proceeds from a particular piece of artwork will be donated to the school and the art teacher. The artist (student) will receive 80% of the funds, while the school and art teacher will earn 15% and 5%, respectively.

Aside from painting and craft displays, live product creation will be on display. Eminent art and craft professors will also give demo courses to visiting and participating pupils. Aside from that, digital marketing experts will advise pupils on how to advertise their items.
