IOCL signs MoU with Central TB Division

New Delhi: IndianOil (Indian Oil Corporation Limited), as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central TB Division (CTD) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the states of Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh to carry out an intensified TB elimination project. This is a historic milestone that highlights India’s commitment to combat the menace of tuberculosis.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri. Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, and Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare.

Among large Indian states, Uttar Pradesh and Chhatisgarh have the largest proportion of TB cases.

This ambitious anti-TB campaign, which is a part of IOCL’s CSR, seeks to ensure early identification of presumptive TB and prompt diagnosis using high-sensitivity diagnostic tests at the doorstep. It does this by using a multi-pronged strategy that addresses all aspects of TB at its different stages. The campaign also intends to provide the people of Uttar Pradesh and Chhatisgarh with equitable, long-term access to free, top-notch TB care, treatment, and support services.
