On Thursday, the Indian IT firm Infosys announced a three-year agreement with worldwide tennis ace Rafael Nadal. Nadal will be the Indian IT company’s global brand ambassador.
“I’m very happy to work closely with Infosys, as they work to not only evolve the experience of tennis to the times, but also empower people in our communities to be part of a brighter future,” he said of his position. “I admire Infosys’s application of digital expertise across industries to the global tennis ecosystem.”
As a result of this development, Infosys and Nadal’s coaching team are working together to create an AI-powered match analysis tool. This tailored technology will be made available in real time to Nadal’s coaching squad in order to track insights from his live matches.
“It has transformed the tennis experience for a billion global fans and truly empowered all players on the tour with analytics that were only a few years ago.” Furthermore, the impact that Infosys is having outside of the court – generating the next chance for people, businesses, and communities – motivates me greatly. “I believe it is our shared desire to do good for society that makes our handshake truly meaningful,” Nadal added.
It is worth noting that Infosys is the ATP Tour, Roland-Garros, Australian Open, and International Tennis Hall of Fame’s digital innovation partner.
“It is an honor to welcome Rafa – one of the world’s most respected champion athletes and humanitarians – as an ambassador for Infosys,” said Salil Parekh, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Infosys. He embodies the spirit of always developing, never giving up, and ultimate passion and desire to give his all in every scenario. We are inspired by his attitude, which echoes our own desire to constantly adapt and remain relevant to our clientele.”
