IndiGo to start operations to enhance AAI’s Amritsar Airport
To improve the domestic connectivity of AAI’s Amritsar Airport, IndiGo will start operating flights from Ahmedabad to Amritsar on December 1, 2022.
This new flight, which will run on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday each week, will be helpful to residents of both regions.
The Golden Temple and Lahore (Pakistan) are both accessible from Amritsar Airport via the Attari-Wagah border.
The current high rise glass integrated terminal building at Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport, Amritsar, was opened on February 25, 2009 as a result of a modernization initiative led by the Airports Authority of India to produce passenger amenities that meet international standards.
The airport has a total size of about 40175 square metres, including 9000 square metres that are still under construction. There are 4 million passengers allowed per year.
