India’s Bullet Train Project to get Training Simulators

Bullet Train Project – The Mumbai Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor (MAHSR) HSR Training Institute in Vadodara, Gujarat, where a Sample Track is already installed for training purposes, receives a “Letter of Acceptance” from National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited for the design, manufacturing, supply, and commissioning of Training Simulators of HSR trains (commonly known as Bullet Trains).

The training simulators will aid in the comprehension of high speed train driving theory by the drivers, conductors, instructors, and train/rolling stock maintenance workers. Training for a single driver, a single conductor, as well as combined training for a driver, conductor, and despatcher, shall be possible.

Bullet Train Project

Under the terms of this package (MAHSR-TI-4), the Training Institute in Vadodara shall install the two simulators listed below:

1. Crew Training Train Set Simulator: a single set

2. Simulators for driver consoles (classroom-style): Ten (10) Trainee? a single instructor console

With the help of a motion platform, the MAHSR Train’s driving console will be replicated.

M/s Mitsubishi Precision Company, Limited, Japan, will receive the package for the price of INR 201.21 Crores. The simulator must be provided within 28 months of the contract’s start date.
