Mumbai: India Inc.’s business growth has benefited from the markets’ recent three-month re-openings. Companies all throughout India have increased hiring for a variety of employment roles in an effort to serve the general public and handle the sudden demand-supply mismatch.
As a result, the number of SMBs joining apna.co, India’s top jobs and professional networking platform, increased by over 13 percent this quarter alone as compared to the same period in 2021. In fact, over 70% of the hyperlocal employment on the marketplace this season came from SMEs and MSMEs.
Additionally, manufacturing, real estate, hotel, aviation, beauty, and wellness sector firms hired more people, according to apna.co. Employers all around the nation are hiring for positions like Telecallers, BPO executives, computer data entry operators, back office personnel, delivery partners, sales executives, accounts and finance executives, among other positions, according to apna’s report.
In the recent three months, most of the new employers who registered on apna came from places like Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad.

Businesses in the north of India wanted candidates for positions in finance, field sales, delivery, and telemarketing, whereas employers in the south and east of India sought candidates for positions in business development, cooking, marketing, and retail/counter sales.
In the most recent quarter, more than 8% of companies offered permanent WFH as part of a post-pandemic trend for several employment roles. In a hybrid work environment, several firms have also given employees the choice to work from home or the office.
Employers have been actively recruiting for 10 lakh jobs nationwide thanks to the Hon. Prime Minister’s employment push. According to industry forecasts, the workforce will likely increase from 68 lakhs in 2019–20 to roughly 2.35 crore by 2029–30.
According to the research, firms were eager to hire both freshmen and professionals with a 12th-grade diploma for work positions. In compared to the same quarter last year, there was a 1.3X rise in applications from 12th pass students and a 2X increase in applications from freshmen.
