ICAT Signs MoU with NorthCap University
New Delhi: The International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) and Northcap University (NCU), Gurugram, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the industry-academia partnership and conduct joint short- and mid-term courses and research in the area of electric vehicles and related emerging technologies in accordance with industry requirements.
In the presence of other senior representatives from both institutions, the MoU was signed by Prof. Nupur Prakash, Vice-Chancellor of NCU, and Mrs. Pamela Tikku, Officiating Director of ICAT.
In her remarks at the occasion, Mrs. Pamela Tikku remarked that we anticipate a long-term partnership for the industry’s skill growth through collaboration in the quickly emerging field of electric mobility, as well as for the skilling up of ICAT resources.
Prof. Nupur Prakash said in his address that the combination of ICAT’s expertise in the field of automotive technology and NCU’s superior content development proficiency will result in flexible course packages for interested candidates, enabling them to be prepared across the range of fields available in the Indian automotive industry.
It is one of the independent testing organizations authorized by the Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR) of the Indian government to conduct tests and accredit the key safety components of autos.
NorthCap University
The NorthCap University (NCU) was established in 1996 in Gurugram, India. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has given NCU a “A” rating. The University is one of the top 100 institutions in the engineering category of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), which was developed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India.
The institution received recognition as India’s Best Performing University in the Top 30 Universities and Deemed Universities Category in the Atal Ranking of Institutions in Innovation Achievement 2021. In addition to being a member of the American Society for Quality (I) Pvt Ltd, NCU is accredited by Accreditation Services for International Colleges (ASIC), UK, in the category of “Premier” Universities, with “Commendable” Grades.
