Hindustan Zinc Stock increased by 2.5% as March output has increased

Hindustan Zinc stock jumped over 2% in early trading today after the company reported a 17 percent increase in mined output (on a quarter-over-quarter basis) in the March quarter. On the BSE, Hindustan Zinc rose 2.48 percent to Rs 333, up from a previous closing of Rs 324.95. 
 
At Rs 331.55, the large-cap stock opened with a gain of 2.03 percent. 
 
The stock of Hindustan Zinc is trading above its 5-day, 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages. In a year, the stock has grown 9.8%, and since the start of this year, it has risen 3.12%. On the day, 0.23 lakh shares of the company were traded, resulting in a turnover of Rs 76.13 lakh. 
 
The company’s market capitalization increased to Rs 1.38 lakh crore. On October 18, 2021, the stock reached a 52-week high of Rs 407.90 and a 52-week low of Rs 275.

Hindustan Zinc stock

The company reported output (mined metal content) of 2,95,000 tonne for the quarter ended March 2022, up from 2,52,000 tonne in the previous fiscal’s December quarter. 
 
From 2,88,000 tonne in the fourth quarter of FY21, output increased by 3%. (year on year basis). 
 
The Vedanta Group recorded a 22.77 percent increase in Q3 net profit to Rs 2,701 crore, up from Rs 2,200 crore in the previous fiscal quarter. 
 
It reported a 17.27 percent increase in net profit for the fiscal year ending March 2021, to Rs 7,980 crore, up from Rs 6,805 crore in the previous fiscal year.
