Hindustan Unilever partners with UNICEF to fight COVID19 – With the new collaboration along the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to undertake a mass communication campaign, Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has announced to empower the overall public against COVID-19.
With the enhanced scale of HUL and therefore the technical knowledge of UNICEF to make engaging communication tools this campaign brings together the marketing expertise which will help people change behaviors and stay safe during this point of the pandemic.
HUL had also recently committed Rs 100 crore towards helping India fight the COVID-19 pandemic. This campaign will generate these short informative assets across India through television, news portals and social media channels based on three key themes – Handwashing, Social Distancing, and Generosity, as per Sanjiv Mehta, Chairman and MD, Hindustan Unilever Limited said, “The need of the hour is straightforward and effective communication across both urban and rural India to assist fight COVID-19 and our partnership with UNICEF aims to try to just that. Furthermore, we’d like to return together as a nation and be supportive of every other during this crisis, we also are committed to working with the govt and making essentials I the campaign will help address these challenges and at scale like Domex cleaners, Lifebuoy soaps, hand sanitizers available across good geography which is that the most crucial need today.
With the help of social media influencers, thought leaders and celebrities in spreading the message, the campaign also will seek support from media organizations, macro and micro level socialites as the communication assets are going to be disseminated through the extensive rural reach of both the organizations to succeed in the foremost vulnerable populations.
