HCL Technologies to acquire Bengaluru-based Quest Informatics

HCL Technologies (HCL) said on Monday that it will acquire Quest Informatics Private Limited (Quest), a Bengaluru-based aftermarket, industry 4.0, and IoT company. 
 
HCL’s wholly-owned subsidiary firm will make the acquisition, which will be all-cash, according to the company’s announcement. 
 
“Quest will assist HCL Technologies in expanding its Industry 4.0 offerings into the rapidly expanding aftermarket industry. Sukamal Banerjee, Corporate Vice President, Industry Software Division and IoT WoRKSTM, HCL Technologies, said, “Quest’s array of aftermarket solutions and products will be beneficial to transportation and manufacturing clients globally in their digital transformation path.”

Quest’s cloud-enabled aftermarket ERP, field services management, and digital parts catalogue product suites presently serve more than 40 worldwide leaders in the aftermarket arena, according to the release. 
 
“In addition, HCL Technologies‘ scale, reach, and R&D prowess would help Quest’s existing clients,” Banerjee added. 
 
Furthermore, aftermarket digital spending in the transportation and manufacturing industries is one of the fastest-growing segments. 
 
“HCL Technologies’ global reach and expertise, paired with Quest Informatics’ deep subject understanding, will help to speed product creation and expand the company’s global reach. In the end-to-end digital aftermarket arena, the acquisition would create synergies and enable meaningful client engagements “Quest Informatics Private Limited CEO and Chairman Rudresh Basavarajappa stated.
